No. Dial is designed around rangefinder yardages you enter manually. No location permission needed.
Where is my data stored?
On your device only, in a local database. Nothing is sent to any server. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I reset my data or start over?
Tap the settings gear on Home, scroll to Danger Zone, tap "Reset all data." This wipes everything and restarts onboarding.
Do I need a rangefinder to use the app?
No, but it's ideal. You can enter any yardage estimate. Dial's value is highest with accurate rangefinder distances because it builds up your real carry numbers over time.
Will Dial work without internet?
Yes. Dial is fully offline. No connection required to log shots, track rounds, or view your stats.
How do I back up my data?
iCloud backups of your device may include Dial's data. A dedicated export feature is planned for a future update.
Is Dial free?
Yes, completely. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.
