Anchor: Emetophobia Relief ("Anchor", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Anchor handles information when you use our iOS application.
The short version: Anchor collects no personal data. Everything you enter into the app — journal entries, settings, your name — is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Anchor stores the following data locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard local storage. This data never leaves your device:
This data is deleted if you uninstall the app. It is not backed up to iCloud or any external server by Anchor. Apple's own iCloud backup system may include this data as part of your device backup depending on your iCloud settings.
If you enable daily encouragement notifications, Anchor uses Apple's local notification system to schedule these on your device. No data is sent to external servers to deliver these notifications. The notification content is generated locally on your device.
If you enable voice guidance, Anchor uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech system (expo-speech) which runs entirely on your device. No audio data is transmitted externally.
Anchor does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, or any similar tools.
Anchor is built using Expo and React Native. These frameworks do not collect personal data on our behalf.
Anchor is rated 9+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since Anchor collects no data at all, there is no risk of children's data being collected or shared.
Anchor is a personal support tool and is not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or professional psychological advice. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Anchor after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
